Engaging in the ever-changing landscape of the product development process
Design8 bv, distributor of 3D design and visualisation software on Mac and PC in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, is the first Ambassador Sponsor of the 3D Delta Week. The company offers 3D software, training and support, which is key to successful 3D printing. The portfolio includes products from the Altair Inspire Platform. By committing to the 3D Delta Week platform, Design8 is joining the positive and important message of the week: “I stand behind the idea of joining forces, of gathering ecosystems to contribute to a healthy global economy.”
The Benelux is a global top region in terms of 3D printing, with many academic and applied research, an unusually high number of active 3D printers and numerous promising start-ups and enterprises. “3D printing thrives in our region, and that is an important advantage considering the changing landscape of the product development process,” explains Orlando Sardaro, CEO of Design8. “When it comes to 3D printing, we’re currently in a transition period, slowly moving away from a dictating production method to full design freedom and optimisation. It is a process that requires other 3D design software that we need to bring to the attention of the general public. The 3D Delta Week is the optimal platform to achieve this. The fact that the week also contributes to the further development and use of the 3D Manufacturing ecosystem to become more competitive as a region, makes it even better.”
The founding partners (Brainport Development, Flam3D, Jakajima and Mikrocentrum) of the 3D Delta Week are equally pleased with the sponsorship of Design8. “Through the 3D Delta Week platform, we offer companies and organisations the opportunity to present themselves as top players in the market and to build new business relationships. During the Week, we will connect the ecosystem, both regionally and on the international stage. The fact that significant companies from the ecosystem – such as Design8 – recognise and support this initiative, shows us even more how vital this is.”
3D Delta Week is a week of learning, networking and exploring on the Additive Manufacturing Value Chain, focusing on the Benelux region as a global Additive Manufacturing hotspot. The 3D Delta Week is a platform that unites a series of events in a week which will draw together an unseen number of AM-specialists and (potential) users to the Benelux. This region boasts one of the most vibrant AM ecosystems in terms of expertise, number of patents, printer density, etc. 3D Delta Week explicitly invites other companies, individuals, and organisations to contribute to a successful, world-renown event. By combining several activities related to the weeks’ topic, an increased visitor number is envisaged. The first edition of the 3D Delta Week will take place from December 6 to 10 2021.
